1. Write what you're looking for and we'll try to help you decide which keyboard parts to purchase to fulfil all your requests.

Example: I want a keyboard that has a deeper sound and is purple.

2. You can write each part you've chosen in a style similar to this:

Mods - Tape Mod, Force Break Mod,...

* **Holee Mod (€5):** A piece of medical tape is placed inside the stabilizer to reduce the noise created when the stabilizer wire contacts the plastic.

* **Band-aid Mod (€3):** A piece of medical tape is placed under the stabilizer to prevent it from touching the PCB, which would otherwise create unwanted noise.

* **Tempest Mod / Tape Mod (€2):** Layers of masking tape are applied to fill the keyboard more and achieve a deeper, poppier sound. The sound will vary depending on the number of layers used; typically 3 to 5 layers are applied, as adding more beyond that produces no further change.

* **Force-break Mod (€2):** A mod for aluminum keyboard cases in which a piece of electrical tape is placed over the screw holes between the two case halves, preventing metal-to-metal contact that would otherwise cause a "ping" sound.

* **Foam (€4):** If a keyboard has a somewhat "hollow" or high-pitched sound, a layer of foam is inserted where possible to dampen the resonance produced by the keyboard, resulting in a deeper sound.

* **Custom PCB Foam (€8):** A hand-cut layer of foam is added between the plate and the PCB.

* **Switch Lubing (€0.40 per switch):** Lubrication of the switches, which alters the sound of each one making it more pleasant, while also improving the feel by reducing friction between the stem and housing.

* **Stabs Lubing (€8):** Lubrication of the stabilizers.

* **PE Foam Mod (€2):** A layer of PE foam is placed between the PCB to reduce the sound produced by the switch making contact with the PCB.
