The unibody case of the Neo 65CU combines solidity with modern design, ensuring a fluid and immersive typing experience. Aesthetic Design
The Neo 65CU features a unibody design with slim side bezels, maintaining a compact and elegant form factor. Compared to the Core series, the Neo 65CU introduces a more sculpted side profile and a slightly increased typing angle, enhancing both ergonomics and aesthetics.
On the back, the Neo 65CU integrates a hidden weight and adopts a screwless design, giving it a clean and sophisticated look. In addition, the orbital logo of the Neo series doubles as a cover for the USB dongle storage compartment, seamlessly blending style and functionality.
Dual-Mounting System
PCB Gasket Mount
The Neo 65CU uses an optimized gasket mounting system designed to provide a balanced acoustic experience. Direct mounting points on the PCB allow for a “plateless” build via a soldered PCB, resulting in a softer, more uniform typing feel.
O-ring Mount
In addition to the classic gasket mounting, the Neo 65CU offers an option to use a rubber O-ring, which provides superior acoustic isolation for the outer keys and delivers a consistent tactile feedback.
Lock-n-Pull Mechanism + Magnetic Connectors
The Neo 65CU introduces a magnetic connection system to simplify managing the PCB and plate. This update removes the complexities associated with ribbon cables, making assembly and maintenance even more intuitive.
Each Neo 65CU includes a dedicated tool equipped with a 3.5 mm plate fork, useful for supporting the plate during switch installation and ensuring a precise build, even without plate foam.
