How it works:

You can request this service by creating a ticket in the

1. Write what you want, and we will help you decide which keyboard parts to purchase in order to meet all your requirements.

Example: I want a keyboard with a denser sound and in purple.

2. You can also write each selected part in a style similar to this:

Mods

• Holee Mod (€5): A small piece of band-aid is placed inside the stabilizer to reduce the noise created when the stabilizer wire touches the plastic.

• Band-aid Mod (€3): A piece of band-aid is placed under the stabilizer to prevent direct contact between the PCB and the stabilizer, which otherwise creates noise.

• Tempest Mod / Tape Mod (€2): Layers of masking tape are applied to fill the keyboard more, giving it a deeper and “poppier” sound. The number of layers changes the sound—usually 3 to 5 layers are used, since adding more does not significantly affect the sound.

• Force-break Mod (€2): A modification for aluminum keyboard cases. Electrical tape is applied over the screw holes between the two case parts to avoid direct metal-to-metal contact, which would otherwise cause a “ping.”

• Foam (€4): If a keyboard sounds slightly “hollow” or high-pitched, a layer of foam is added (when possible) to isolate resonance and reduce echo, resulting in a deeper sound.

• Custom PCB Foam (€8): A hand-cut foam layer placed between the plate and PCB.

• Switch Lubing (€0.40 per switch): Lubrication of switches, improving sound and feel by reducing friction between stem and housing.

• Stabs Lubing (€8): Lubrication of stabilizers.

• PE Foam Mod (€2): A layer of PE foam is placed on the PCB to reduce the sound produced when switches make contact with the PCB.
