Design

Light as Air, powerful as Pro. The Air60 V2 builds upon NuPhy's 4-year tradition of supporting mobile computing devices, offering unmatched Bluetooth and 2.4G connection quality and speed. With our trio of the portable keyboard, device, and stand, you can experience the feeling of sitting right at your desk, no matter where you are.

 

Nimble yet stable. Thanks to the enhanced AirFeet, the new Air60 effortlessly finds its natural place on top of almost any laptop keyboard. Compact in size, it is thoughtfully designed to leave space for essential features (such as Touch ID) typically found at the top of the panel, ensuring easy access without compromise.

 

Wireless Performance

How far can we push extreme wireless performance and ultra-low latency in a thin and light design? Does it even make sense to equip a 60% keyboard with pro-gamer grade 1000Hz tech? Well, here’s our answer: we’ve decided to place the wireless equivalent of a V12 engine under the hood of the Air60. Because when it comes to mobility, we believe in going all the way—and how could we let our users miss out on all the fun?

Precision in Every Circuit
While a 1000Hz polling rate may grab attention, true latency is influenced by several factors, including the MCU’s matrix scan rate, processing and debounce times, wireless cache size, and more. Never satisfied with half-measures, we pair Nordic’s cutting-edge NRF52810 SoC with the high performance of the STM32F072 MCU. Additionally, we employ a meticulous testing procedure to ensure the total trip delay is minimized, delivering unmatched responsiveness.

 

Truth by numbers told. We did some benchmarks on the new Air60’s latency performance, against its predecessor and another QMK-based keyboard. Suffice to say, we are both blown away by the results and happy to end the myth that low profile keyboards are unfit for professional gaming and low latency applications, once and for all.

Firmware

All Airs of the new generation, including Air60 V2 will be shipped with QMK/VIA. We believe with the full realisation of our hardwares' potential under the new firmware, its open source code, the endless key remapping, light customisation and other creative possibilities VIA offers our users, the fun has truly started!

Cross-Platform Customization Made Easy
Mac, Windows, Linux... you name it. VIA’s key remapping and macro functions work flawlessly across all major desktop platforms, or any system that supports a browser, making it even easier to customize your Air60 to your exact preferences.

Virtual Side of a Physical Switch
The Win/Mac mode switch, a hallmark of all NuPhy keyboards since the original Air60, is now fully integrated with VIA’s layers. This makes it more extensible and customizable, with the same ease of use that you’ve come to expect.

System Integration
Our ongoing OS support and native integration continue to evolve with QMK-based platforms. The latest MacOS shortcuts, including 'Spotlight', 'Dictation', and 'Do Not Disturb', are now fully implemented through QMK. Plus, the F-key replacement keycaps introduced with the Air96 are now available on the Air60. We’re committed to finding more ways, and shortcuts, to add value for our users, including developing new hardware solutions to enhance the software experience.

Keycaps
Double-shot PBT keycaps are finally here for the Air60! With sharper legends, richer colors, and an impressively thin profile, customizing your beloved Air60 with our wide selection of double-shot keycap themes will be a lot more enjoyable.

Sound

Structure-borne sound engineering, increasingly recognized as vital to overall keyboard sound performance, is still almost unused among low profile keyboards outside of our Air96. The new Air60 built upon our successful implementation of plate poron hollow-sound absorption and IXPE PCB sound purification solution on Air96, while optimizing them for a smaller form factor, leading to an overall improvement in sound concentration and purity for switches. Additional attention is given to tune the spacebar in harmony with the rest of the keys, using silicone sound shaping tech derived from our acclaimed GhostBar.

Hot Swappable
Each Air60 keyboard is fully hot-swappable, allowing you to easily replace or upgrade switches without the need for soldering. Enjoy a personalized typing experience, free from restrictions. Additionally, we include four bonus mechanical switches in the package, giving you the flexibility to try different typing sensations or easily replace any damaged switches.
